A farm visit.

We celebrated Earth Day by heading to Ardenwood Farm in Fremont for their annual sheep-shearing day. Shearing sheep! It was a first for all of us to see. We wiggled our way to the front where we had a great view, and every so often over the hum of the huge electric clippers and chorus of other kidlets you heard a little voice go BAAAAA! BAAAAA! Yup, that was my kid :)

Other fun things at the farm...we've been every few months since arriving in California and with every visit I'm amazed at how much more Mila soaks in. Thank you for indulging my Mila pronunciations when it's just too sweet to pass up. This time she was all about the horse (forsh)-drawn wagon, chickens, turkeys, bunnies (buddies), peacock, the fountain, cows, petting piglets, and honey sticks. Oooohhhh, honey sticks. With that thing sticking out of her mouth she looked like a real live farmhand whistling on a blade of grass.
